I’m in the BSFA Awards Longlist in the category of Best Story!

My story «Gracia», published in English in Strange Horizons, has made it to the Longlist for the Best Short Fiction Award by the British Science Fiction Association.

I’m in the list with people such as Ian Watson, Christopher Priest, Bruce Sterling or China Miéville, so I’m freaking out more than you can imagine. I’m delighted, amazed and impressed, all at once, though if I have to choose an adjective, I choose «mental».

Being in a longlist means that BSFA members will vote their favourite stories and then select a shortlist and finally a winner will be chosen.

«Gracia» is a story I love and it has given me much happiness. I already told you about it when it was published in English, here. Being in this list is a great HONOUR, and even though making it to the final is a bit complicated, hey! Why not dreaming a little more?

So, if you are a member of the BSFA, you can read «Gracia» here, both in English and in Spanish. And if, when you read it, you like it, you can vote for it here until the 31st of Jannuary.

PS: I think I’m the only translated author in the list. Thank you so much to Lawrence Schimel for his wonderful translation. I am not so good in English!  😉
